Message Im not mistaken..im only telling you what Clark told me. And what he told me is that they've never made a camshaft designed for a solid lifter application. Those camshafts ARE not made for solid lifters. That is why Clark specifically stated they are under no circumstances under warranty for any given reason. He even went on to say that it would be a good idea to either DLC coat the camshafts to protect them against premature wear due to the nature of the setup. It was a camshaft that was made for Mike Smith one off as a favor...not something that was made in specific for off the shelf purchases.

Theres a reason why Clark said what he said because those cams were never designed for a solid lifter application. Mike was going to rig something up to work for his own use. I understand you can't use a hydraulic designed camshaft on a solid lifter application. Thats pretty common knowledge. The fact is, is that its not a solid lifter camshaft. Im sure it will work if you do the right measures in coating the cam and possibly hardening it but outside of that its a toss up as to what will happen to it when its being ran at high RPM
